Meet the Team
Claire Eason-Bassett - Director
Claire has been the lead event manager with Event Cornwall since January 2008 when she joined full time. Her particular strengths are in making contacts, developing ideas, joining up at strategic and practical levels and then making the events happen. Key projects for Claire are BBC Blast, MusicTruro, Heartlands, Event Scilly, Cornwall Business Fair and Falmouth Week and she has also been closely involved in the development and delivery of events qualifications with Cornwall College and University College Falmouth.
Clare Hearn - Director
Clare currently works part-time for Event Cornwall and part-time for Devon Arts In Schools Initiative as a Project Manager. Her Event Cornwall projects focus on visual arts, education and film and have included screenings at Porthcurno, Cornwall Film Festival and development of the BA (Hons) Creative Events Management course at University College Falmouth. Clare is also leading on the development of Event Devon. Her strengths include the co-ordination of many variables, designing events, collaboration and coordination of festivals and working in the academic context.
Amy Weeks - Event Manager
Amy joined Event Cornwall in January 2009 and went full time a month later due to the demand for her input to projects. She brings great organisational and communication skills to the company and is beginning to lead on her own projects, specifically Art in the City, the Outdoor Screenings Season and Fal Week.
Sammy Mudhar - Company Administrator
Sammy joined Event Cornwall on a part-time basis in November 2009 from The Works:Dance & Theatre Cornwall where she was Administrator. Sammy provides us with operational support including financial processing & reporting, communications, project administration and office management.
Becky Lush - Community Event Co-ordinator
Having joined us on a work placement in July 2010, Becky became full-time in January 2011 and her focus is on developing and managing community-based projects and relationships. She looks after our WEX and volunteers programme as well as practical event delivery.
Sam White - Marketing Associate
Sam joined us in September 2011 and brings with her over 16 years experience working in advertising and marketing agencies. She will be helping us keep our website updated as well as working on spreading the word about our events.
Jeremy Kirk - Financial Director
Jeremy has 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, working both in private practice and in industry and commerce and has particular expertise in working with small but growing companies such as Event Cornwall.
