Event Cornwall is proud of the service we provide, not only in the range and variety of services offered, but also in the way we look after our planet. We aim to have a positive impact on the local community and global environment.

BS8901 is the new British Standard, developed specifically for the Event industry, which we achieved in March 2011 with consultancy from Klaudia van Gool and certification by Sustainable Event Accreditation. We are required to identify the social, economical and environmental impacts of our business, and assess how putting the correct measures in place can minimise that impact.
 
We adhere to a strict environmental policy in the workplace and in all aspects of event management wherever possible. The policy is a reflection of our views and attitude towards corporate social responsibility. (Please click here to download a full copy of our sustainability policy)

At Event Cornwall we monitor all areas of our triple bottom line to ensure we're managing our financial, environmental and social impacts effectively.

We aim to:

- minimise our impact on the environment by operating an environmentally friendly workplace

- ensure our sustainable practices extend through our supplier networks and client relationships

- work within the local community to develop opportunities through our work experience and volunteer programmes

- develop our practices within the company to ensure we are using our time and resources effectively

- lead by example within the event industry by integrating sustainability into business practice
