OUR MISSION

Our purpose is to enable others to achieve their event ambitions and we do that through 4 strands of work: Event Delivery, Event Strategy, Education & Training, Organisation Development.

OUR CORE BUSINESS VALUES

QUALITY:

We are professional event managers and members of Eventia, our UK trade body.  We ensure a high quality of service and end product through great communication, effective partnerships and extensive knowledge and experience of our industry and event delivery.  Our network of local and national suppliers ensures that we can design and deliver high quality events.

IMAGINATIVE:

We thrive on challenges where we can bring all our knowledge, experience and creativity to collaborate on creating something amazing.  Whether it's finding a creative solution to a problem onsite or creating the initial event design, we apply our imagination to make exciting events happen.

BESPOKE:

All our projects are undertaken in partnership, often with many stakeholders.  We pride ourselves on our communication skills and our ability to draw together many inputs to create a whole event experience.  We enjoy working with people and organizations for whom there is no such thing as standard so all our services are tailored to our clients matching strengths and weaknesses to ensure that the project is delivered to its optimum.

PRACTICAL:

We draw together great ambition with practical delivery to make events really work.  Our strategic network and involvement in the bigger picture enables us to ensure that our events are relevant  as well as having vast experience of delivering events so we can make those events happen.  We work across the spectrum from high level strategic planning to getting our hands dirty and taping down cables!

OUR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPLES

To achieve sustainable growth for the business and wider events sector, we follow 4 principles:

INCLUSIVITY:

We work closely with our stakeholders in designing events, planning delivery and evaluating impacts of our activity.  We undertake an accessibility assessment for each event ensuring that barriers to engagement are identified and removed wherever possible.  We actively promote our business and our events through a wide variety of media including print, PR, radio, online and via social media.  Through our evaluation processes, we identify successes and areas for improvement to make the events better next time as well as inform the development of other events in our portfolio.

INTEGRITY:

We collaborate with our clients, partners and stakeholders with honesty and on a basis of trust.  When we make decisions, we focus on meeting the needs of our clients and the events we deliver.   We encourage and actively solicit the views of our staff, associates, clients, volunteers, partner organisations and other stakeholders when designing and planning events to incorporate cultural diversity.  It is important to us to be aware of activity in the wider UK and international event industries in order to ensure that we are operating to best practice standards and that we can import or export activity of the highest quality for Cornwall.

STEWARDSHIP:

Environmental considerations are a key part of our event planning process and are included for all of our events.  We view the use of resources, including client budgets, very seriously and strive to achieve maximum event and social impact with minimum waste of physical or financial resource and environmental impact. In addition to our operational stewardship, we evaluate every event through a variety of methods appropriate to the event and the stakeholders to inform future events and assess event impacts.

TRANSPARENCY:

Information on Event Cornwall and our events is available on our website.  Requests for information are responded to within 48 hours and information supplied in accordance with the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.  We are collaborating with Cornwall Council to ensure that evaluation data from our events is consistent with and comparable against that collected for events throughout Cornwall.  The partners and legal status information is outlined on our website and reported via our Annual Returns to Companies House and Eventia.
