Work Experience

Work experience is a great place to kick start your career or to get an insight into a new career.

Here at Event Cornwall we offer a range of up to 40 work experience and internship opportunities each year.  Each placement is tailored to you depending on which part of the events industry you are interested in and will develop your skills in that area. As well as giving us the vital staffing support we need for our events, we believe a work placement within a strong event team will be a positive experience for you.
Work experience placements can include:

  • planning & event design
  • time management
  • logistics scheduling
  • event marketing
  • client liaison
  • customer service
  • front of house & box office
  • research
  • sourcing suppliers
  • Risk Assessments
  • information co-ordination

Work placements can run from 1 week to 14 weeks and may run as a solid block or can be drip-fed into half a day a week. It's always tailored to the individual's schedule and learning needs. We are seeking pro-active people who want to learn and develop their skills in event management.

Internships are more substantial and are developed with the individual, usually around one specific event.
