Truro's fourth annual Art festival returns to the city from Monday 2nd to Saturday 14th April, and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a host of events to get the community creating.

Instigated and funded by Totally Truro, Art in the City offers something for everyone, and this year's event will focus on encouraging all of the community to participate in a range of events held across the city, as well as celebrating the existing artists and galleries that already exist within Truro.

Festival favourites such as Big Art and the Art Car Boot will return this year, alongside new additions such as lectures, pop up exhibitions and artists in residence in unusual locations.

Big Art continues to be a highlight of the festival, with 16 artists taking to the streets of Truro to create their very own piece of art in just 8 hours. Following a week of exhibitions across the city, the giant canvases are then auctioned off to the highest bidder at the Big Art Auction.

The Art Car Boot has now become an annual fixture on the Art in the City calendar giving artist and bargain hunters alike, the chance to uncover some hidden treasures and affordable art, and grab a real art bargain! Held at Garras Wharf car park, the Art Car Boot is a must for art lovers, or those who just want to grab a cup of tea and mingle in the creative bustle.
