Truro played host to a bevy of resplendent Classic Cars at the Truro Classic Car Challenge on April 29th - The fantastic culmination to the Cape to Cape Rally.

Even in the face of adverse weather conditions, the drivers in the Cape to Cape Rally 2012 couldn't resist the opportunity to drive their beautiful classic cars around the city centre of Truro with the roads closed and the end of the Rally in sight.  

The 37 cars that finished the Rally all undertook circuits of the city including a manoeuvrability test and celebrated the conclusion of the event with pasties, drinks and prize-giving at the Lander Gallery. 

Our role was to co-ordinate all of the non-car related aspects of the event including traffic management, site planning, risk assessment, sponsor displays, marketing and local promotion. 

Although we all got soaked by the torrential rain, it was great to see these gorgeous cars in action and we hope that the event and the drivers have raised lots of money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
