Event Cornwall's first private party goes off with a bang! Wednesday 2nd November 2011

In late October, Event Cornwall designed and ran a fabulous private party for a client in the far west of the county.

With a brief to create a relaxed family birthday party for a special milestone and involving over 30 suppliers, we recently delivered a successful 12 hour event for over 100 guests. The celebrations were spread over 4 zones: a magician's den for the children, a Spanish themed marquee for the main dinner, an indoor croquet arena and a skittle alley tent that was also used for a private family dinner the night before the main event.

The venue for the party was a remote part of West Cornwall so the rigging and derigging of all the large equipment including power supplies, toilets and marquees using a single access road was even more challenging than normal.

Happily, the event went without a hitch and we have received great feedback from our clients, who were delighted with the party. It was a real pleasure to work on this project and we relished taking on the challenge of an ambitious brief and difficult site. It was also great to have a project where we had the whole Event Cornwall team working together to make this very special event happen.
