White River Place transforms into a Winter Wonderland Monday 9th January 2012

The Christmas Elves at Event Cornwall were busy in the lead up to Christmas, changing a disused shopping unit at White River Place into a Winter Wonderland for 2 weeks only.

With help from our friends at The Christmas Decorators, the unit was transformed into a magical Christmas experience for all the family, complete with snow, reindeer, twinkly lights, a candy cane grotto and of course, Father Christmas.

Opening for late night shopping on 13th December through to Christmas Eve, the Winter Wonderland welcomed over 400 children through the snow lined grotto and despite his busy schedule, Father Christmas was on hand throughout the event to hand out presents to local children, with help from his fantastic elves, Andrea, Lizzie and Megan.

The event received some fantastic feedback from local families who described it as ‘magical; and a ‘fantastic use of a disused space', and we would like to say a special thank you to The Christmas Decorators, LiveWire Events, Abbotts Event hire, Aussie Marquees and all the team at White River Place for making the Winter Wonderland such a success.
