Agile on the Beach

The first Agile on the Beach conference took place in September, and has been declared a huge success.

The largest software conference outside the South East and taking place at the UCF Tremough Campus in Falmouth, the event attracted an international audience, with speakers and delegates travelling from across the globe to attend.

The two day conference featured presentations, workshops and lectures from 15 different speakers, all experts in their field, and explored the Agile approach when developing and writing software. Agile focuses on being more efficient and effective, which reduces the risk of projects running over budget and schedule. Although not all from the software industry, the content of the conference was applicable to all areas of business, with many delegates taking away new found knowledge and inspiration for their businesses.

One of the highlights of the conference was the Agile on the Beach party, which saw all of the delegates heading to Gyllyngvase Beach for live music and hog roast on the sand, taking Agile on the Beach to the beach.

Initial plans are already being considered for Agile on the Beach 2012, which now looks to be a regular feature of the conference calendar.
