MERiFIC Conference

To mark the start of the MERiFIC (Marine Energy and Renewables in Far and Peripheral Communities) project, we organised the project launch at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in September 2011.

The brief for this project was to deliver a multi-partner launch event and working with Cornwall Council and various European partners, we co-ordinated translation services, venue, presentations, delegate packs and all of the other elements that are vital to an event. The conference was planned to bring all of the partners up to speed with the technology and the rationale behind the project and over 80 delegates attended, including guests from France and the wider UK network.  Delegates were able to engage with all of those partners who would be contributing to the project development over the next 2 years.

We enjoyed delivering this event as it's a subject that is close to our hearts. As an organisation and individually, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and optimising the impacts of our events so to be involved in the MERiFIC project, which addresses some of the key sustainability issues for Cornwall, has been a pleasure.
