Music Truro
Music Truro brought music to the masses with one off performances not just in the typical music venues but on street corners, in your local café, in the Post Office and even had some of Truro Chamber net-workers singing in the office over lunchtime.
The week had something for everyone creating a buzzing atmosphere in Truro. It kicked off with Battle of the Bands at The Office, competition was close but the winners were Convex who scooped a money can't buy prize which included an EP recording, mentoring time and promotion in the What's On section of the West Briton.
Moving through the week we had an evening of poetry with the former mayor Bert Biscoe which celebrated Truro and felt like a great big Cornish hug.
Other events included Cornwall Music Forum where budding performers brought along a copy of their CD to be listened to by Cornish music industry experts to get live feedback. This was followed by the Cream of Cornwall showcase hosted by Bunters with live music from 5 of Cornwall's up and coming bands.
The week-long festival brought together some of Truro's best venues including the Office, Bunters, Vertigo, the cathedral, the Riverbank, the Falmouth Seafood Café and the Hall for Cornwall.
